v. 23

Lila is 23 weeks old today.  This week was pretty fun.  Lila got a new toy which she loves,  It is a picnic basket that sings songs.  It has a small picnic blanket, plates, little food, giant forks, and two cups.  She is so busy while she is playing.  She moves from one thing to the next and turns all around.  Mommy and Lila sit on the floor several times a day playing with all of her toys. 

Somethings else mommy and Lila do all the time is sing songs.  Every week it seems like Lila has a new favorite.  Mommy makes up silly songs... "Here comes the bunny hop hop hop.  He went to the park hop hop hop. The bunny hops high, the bunny hops low.  Where did the bunny go? hop hop hop hop" 

 At mamatotos Heather and Harper taught all the mamas and totos new songs.  Lila loved watching Heather play the guitar.   Lila loves making her own music too.  She plays her shaker, bell, and even her drum.  When mommy or daddy sing the night night Lila song she often hums along.  

 Mommy and Lila like to watch the hummingbirds in the back porch a lot too.  There are always a pair of hummingbirds near by.  Today mommy and Lila were standing right next to the feeder and one of the birds was about five inches from Lila's face.  She watched it with her big eyes and she was s surprised when he flew away.   

 Lila has been laughing all week long.  At daddy , mommy, her toys and at nothing at all.  Her laugh is so cute.  

Mommy signs several words to Lila and Lila signs a couple of them back.  On Friday mommy and Lila were laying on the bed and signing and signing the ABC's.  Lila raised her left hand (mirroring mommy) and while moving her lips was watching mommy's hand and wiggling her fingers.  Mommy will try and remember more sign language.
