A afternoon hike

The temps have dropped back into the 2 digest so Tuesday afternoon I asked Lila of she wanted to go on a hike. She said yes and we drive a quick 5 minutes to a little preserve. A short hike up a hill you reach a old volcano. It is pretty neat.
She rode up in the ergo on my back to watch the birds fly away in the path in front of us. At the top we had snacks and watched butterflys. When one would disappear she would say "buttfly butterfly, where are you?"
Lila rode the steep part down but then decided to walk the softer trail back to the car. We promised to be back soon to take a closer look at the little creek.
