1. Words, words, and more words. Lila said her first words months ago. She said hi and milk. Soon after we moved back to Texas is when she really started talking. Lila has a long list of words she says and it grows every day. Mommys favorite is sqir, ba, and of course, mama.
2. Lila loves people (as long as they don't get in her personal space). She waves and says "hi" to people everywhere, Target, the playground, and everywhere else. At the park if someone is swinging next to us she MUST get the attention of the other parent. Then she laughs and smiles and jabbers to them.
3. This month we really settled into a routine. Mommy is back home most of the time and Lila likes that a lot. Mommy likes that a lot too! (thanks dada) We have found some regular activities that we like and some we haven't made it to yet (but will soon) 4.Lila likes to snack and loves most foods (tomatoes is the only one that maybe is not her favorite yet). She makes a sour face when she takes a bite but goes back for more... It must be the texture that is so weird. She loves Momals green beans, which she tried for the first time this month and now when she sees a green bean, he wants it!
5. Lila loves to move things in and out and even (sometimes) gets the right shapes in the right holes with her toys Mommy helps her figure out where the square, star, etc go and she catches on so quick.
6. She loves the bath. Plays and chatters mostly the entire time. When she is done she pulls the drain, we put away the toys, mommy wraps Lila in a towel but she prefers to air dry! ("get that towel of of me!")
7. This month Lila has taken a few steps by herself. I want her to walk, she wants to walk (hasn't that been the goal since birth)... But at the same time it makes mommy a little sad that her baby is going to be walking soon.
8. Bye bye dada. Something that is a little sad but so very cute, the way Lila misses her dada when he is at work (other places too). She sometimes gets upset when he leaves. She watches him out the bedroom window drive off. " Bye bye dada" then a little whining. Lila likes to call dada on the phone when he is away. She lights up when she hears his voice on the other side. She smiles and puts the phone right up to her face . Sometimes she laughs, sometimes she says hi, and sometimes she smiles silently. Lila lives her dada.
9. Lila has started to play by herself a little (but she wants someone in the room watching). We have seen her imagination. She talks to her toys. She sings without any music or mommy singing. And she even offered her stuffed giraffe (Daniel) a picnic cracker. He didn't want it so Lila pretend ate it. Daddy and mommy thought this was the cutest thing.
10. Kisses kisses! Lila started kissing this month. Maybe she has open mouth kisses before but now she puckers! It is too cute. She mostly kisses mommy and daddy but she also kisses a few of her stuffed animals. She air kisses pictures and Lila and mommy air kiss all day. She air kisses daddy and giggles when he kisses her! The best thing in the world is getting a kiss from the sweetest little lips in the world!
